One of the big highlights of this series is the fact that the suspense is omnipresent. The more you learn about the story and the characters, the more questions you ask. Indeed, the police continue their investigation into the strange murders that took place a few months earlier as well as the events that affected Shion's classmates. The story is not centered on them though. Inspectors appear more and more in the scenario. Whether through the appearance of new clues or old investigations, the author breathes a rhythm that does not fade over the pages. Indeed, by a simple game of gaze, it is impossible for us to know if Kirié's character traits could push her to the extreme vis-à-vis her comrades. We had doubts and we still have them. It is impossible for us to detect the truth, to decide between supposition or slander. The author arrives, despite the progress of the scenario, has imposed an almost permanent anxiety. We can therefore wonder how the scenario will evolve vis-à-vis the relationship between our high school girls, as well as the progress of the macabre investigations led by the police. The characters of Purgatory Girl are very interesting. Whether it is those already presented in the first volume or the new ones that integrate gradually thanks to the unveiling of many details. First, let's look at the main characters of the series, Kirié and Shion. As mentioned earlier, Kirié is a very complex character. Indeed, depending on the situation, it can soften us or on the contrary, make us uncomfortable. However, in this second volume, the author will give it a more "human" dimension through various situations. We will not say more so as not to spoil some interesting passages. But we can tell you that these revelations make it possible to consider her no longer only as a high school girl suspected of murder but as a high school student in suffering. On Shion's side, it seems that she too is wondering about the events taking place in her high school and the sometimes casual attitude of her classmate. Here too, many questions are jostling, is Shion in danger? Will she discover things she might regret? Will she assert herself or continue to endure the bullying of her comrades?
