Dear Call is Kiri Gunchi's first fantasy series. The series, which currently has only one volume in France, is completed in Japan and has four volumes. The second volume is scheduled for July 7 at Glénat Manga.

An entry into fantasy!
Dear Call is a shonen that certainly is not very original since the terms discussed have already been several times but the scenario is catchy. This first volume alternates between action, combat and magic. A very appreciable mix that puts us in the mood very quickly. Indeed, this first volume plunges us into an unknown universe, full of mysteries. The author gives us just enough explanations to immerse ourselves in the story and understand the stakes of this world and hang on to the story. On the graphics side, the drawings are nice but the pencil stroke remains messy. However, some boxes are very well done, detailed and allow to discover the invocademia in another light. In addition, the duality between the main character, Sanso and Hineto, another student of the academy is interesting. These clashes will allow Sanso to surpass themselves and aim for first place. Situation comedy, important friendships, impressive fights, the winning trio for any good shonen!
A world full of mystery
Several characters were briefly introduced to us during this first volume. Little information has been revealed, making these characters even more mysterious. Indeed, who is Sanso? Why was it abandoned? What are Hineto's motivations? So many questions that we hope to have the answers in the next volumes. Moreover, although we know that the world has been invaded by black anima, we do not really know what state it is in. How did the anima blacks arrive on earth?Have there been wars? Diseases? How did they discover the invocations? How did the Invocademia come about? So many revelations that we can't wait to discover! Dear Call T01 does not revolutionize the fantasy genre but still remains a pleasant first volume to discover. While waiting for the release of the second volume, we invite you to discover Ashidaka – The iron hero, a saga that will immerse you in a steampunk atmosphere of the most striking.
