Selected in the official competition of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Parallel Worlds is Yuhei Sakuragi's first feature film. Initially scheduled for March 18 (information from the French distributor to come), the film Parallel Worlds offers an original story, centered on the conflict of two Japanes that everything opposes… Except that they are linked in the most intimate way by their inhabitants. Indeed, everyone has his perfect double in the other world. The unnatural death of one then leads to the inevitable death of the other. Shin, the hero, is a taciturn high school student since the sudden death of his mother when he was very young. His only real social connection is his childhood friend Kotori. Both have their lives turned upside down the day Jin and Miko appear from a parallel world. Caught in a spiral that surpasses them, they will have to face many dangers to save their lives and their worlds. The film produced by Craftar studio uses state-of-the-art techniques for animation, including the use of AI for the creation of crowds and secondary characters. Motion capture is used for the main characters. With government announcements, cinemas are now closed until April 15. We will keep you informed of a possible postponement of date or a VOD release according to the provisions of the French distributor.
