During this year 2020, many K-POP groups made their debut, but two groups in particular attracted attention. Will they live up to our expectations?  While waiting to answer this question, we invite you to discover AESPA and ENHYPEN.

AESPA

AESPA AVATAR K-POP 2020: The 2 most anticipated new rookie bands! First, we introduce you to aespa/ æspa (에스파), a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment. The group consists of four members, Karina, Giselle, Winter and NingNing. This girl band is really very recent since they made their debut on November 17, 2020 with the release of their very first single, "Black Mamba". Their name, aespa, is a combination of "ae", which stands for Avatar X Experience and "aspect" which means "to be able to experience a new world through a new avatar of ourselves". A crazy concept idea, but that makes you want to learn more, don't you think? AESPA K-POP 2020: The 2 most anticipated new rookie bands! In addition, SM Entertainment founder Lee so Man explained the aespa concept at the World Cultural Industry Forum 2020 held online on October 28. And a trailer with the four members was revealed on November 2nd. SM Entertainment has also confirmed that the band's fan club will be known as MY, which means "my dear friend". Indeed, the latter being valuable for the group, there was no better name to designate them. In addition, the band debuted on KBS2's Music Bank on November 20, 2020 where they played their first single "Black Mamba". https://youtu.be/ZeerrnuLi5E

ENHYPEN

ENHYPEN ME K-POP 2020: The 2 most anticipated new rookie bands! This time, we present ENHYPEN (엔하이픈), a South Korean male group. This group consists of 7 members, Sunghoon, Niki, Jungwoo, Sunwoo, Jake, Heesung and Jay. The boy band was formed by I-Land, a series of survival contests broadcast weekly on a Korean channel. Airing from June 26 to September 18, 2020, the show is also available internationally via Big Hit Labels Entertainment's YouTube channel. I-Land featured 23 trainee boys who had trained in Belift Lab. The group is therefore composed of the six finalists chosen by the public and the seventh chosen by the producers. Moreover, their name was presented during the live broadcast of the last episode of I-Land. Enhypen takes its name from the hyphen symbol (-), which creates new meanings such as "Connection, Discovery, and Growth." Similar to how a hyphen connects different words, Enhypen aims to bring people together to connect, discover and grow together. https://youtu.be/pnhSnVQncvU The ENGENE fan club name was unveiled on October 9, 2020. This name was chosen from fan suggestions and has two meanings. The first is that ENHYPEN fans are the "engines" that allow them to grow and move forward. The second is that ENHYPEN and its fans share the same DNA to connect, develop and grow together. On October 28th, Belift Lab also announced that the band would release their first mini album, "Border: Day One" on November 30th. In just two days, the number of pre-orders for the album exceeded 150,000 copies. This figure is incredible for a band that hasn't even made its debut yet! Although these two bands have just made their debut in the music world, what do you think? Will you follow their beginning? Or will you rather wait for them to develop a little more?
