Japan Expo is manga, anime, video games, but it's also cosplay! And in this 2017 edition, the ECG returns for its seventh edition this year!

But what is ECG?

The European Cosplay Gathering is a major European cosplay competition that brings together 13 countries this year. Throughout the year, competitors competed in their regions through drastic and sharp selections. Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom… They will be 3 or 4 cosplayers to represent each nation (1 solo and 2 or 3 group) in front of an audience of more than 15,000 people.Â
The competitors will meet on Saturday, July 8, 2017 for the final battle of this edition on the Ichigo stage of Hall 5B2 from 14:15 to 15:45!
Their judges will be 5 in number and are real professionals who live only for that! Ashe, Echow, Kairi, Naru and Yuks General will give their voice to the best performances, but will also hold masterclasses during the convention, to inform you in the field of outfit making in the Workshops Cosplay room!

Please note that video shooting and streaming are not allowed during the ECG final.However, photos are still allowed. These restrictions only apply to the ECG final but not to all other cosplay events at the festival. You can find the videos of the ECG on the official youtube channel of the organization.
