The goal has never been so close to being achieved… On December 1st, the film LIVE Hagane no Renkijutsushi, better known in France on the metallic name of Fullmetal Alchemist, will be released in Japanese cinemas. And on the occasion of the release of the film, a little surprise is reserved for the spectators…
Fullmetal Alchemist 0
Yes, you are not dreaming… This title is that of the manga that will be offered to those coming to see the film. Suffice to say that it is a beautiful gift for a month of December. The film continues to be talked about with posters, trailers or promotional videos. But this time, it's Hiromu ARAKAWA herself who puts her paw on it! We don't know where the action will take place in Fullmetal Alchemist 0, but this is the first time in 7 years that the mangaka has taken up her pencils for FMA. Let's hope that this special chapter will reach us very soon in France! In the meantime, you can always get the complete collection, listen to our top OST Brotherhood or read our review on it if you haven't already!
Note that from December 23, for any second screening of the film, a 2018 calendar that will include an illustration of Fullmetal Alchemist 0 on the cover page as well as posters of the film LIVE.
If you are near Tokyo or Osaka, know that an exhibition on manga is held there this fall!

Fullmetal Alchemist
LIVE movie
On Friday, December 1st, the film will finally be available in cinemas across Japan. The opportunity for us to come back on all the posters and trailers unveiled so far. Fullmetal Alchemist is a film that has been talked about a lot during the year 2017. We have already seen it for some major licenses, especially in the world of video games, but too many advertisements can harm this same license as the expectation of fans is high. And this LIVE film must convince. But we have a strong argument that could well reassure you… Words reported by the film crew present at Japan Expo 2017…
I've seen the movie and each character appears as I had imagined. The chemistry between Ed and Winry is perfect.
Hiromu Arakawa
It's reassuring, isn't it?
On the other hand, we also learned through the director himself that the movie Fullmetal Alchemist will not follow page by page the story of the manga. And that he will therefore allow himself some freedoms… And if ever fans adhere to this film, a second one could see the light of day.
The anime was inspired by the manga, but the film is not an adaptation of the series. We wanted to create and try new things, and if the audience buys into these ideas, then we will make another Fullmetal Alchemist movie.

A very Japanese cast for a rather Western universe… An adaptation that forces curiosity, and which, in view of the revelations of its director, will surely reserve us many surprises! We are also waiting to see more before judging Al and his plastic.
And what we also have to admit… What the PVs and trailers unveiled to date have only shown shots from the manga. And this is a very good point that allows you to keep the whole surprise! Especially since it would be very difficult to adapt 27 volumes in more or less 2 hours…
