The legal Japanese anime streaming site ADN will have some changes in the passage of the year 2017!
New year is often synonymous with change. ADN is no exception to the rule since its offer is evolving!
End of standard and premium subscriptions!
Previously, ADN broke down its offer into two types, Standard and Premium. The first allowed you to watch simulcast series as well as the less recent ones, while the second added animated films and OAV's. These two offers will disappear to make way for a Streaming subscription, including series as well as movies and OAV's, all at the price of the current Standard subscription ! As a reminder, the latter costs monthly between 4.99 € and 6.99 € depending on the duration of your subscription (the longer it is, the less you pay).
The H+1 for all simulcast series!
From the first of January 2017, all series simulcast on ADN will be available one hour after their broadcast in Japan. Previously some series were broadcast in partnership with J-One who kept the exclusivity of the broadcast for 15 days before they were visible on DNA, this is over for the joy of the subscribers of the platform!
A new offer for downloading!
The current offer regarding downloading episodes is somewhat expensive on the streaming site. Ranging from 1 to 2 € per episode, series can benefit from a discount after a certain time of presence in the catalog. Nevertheless, ADN will soon offer a Download subscription ! For a price ranging between 11.99 € and 14.99 €, it will include the content of the Streaming subscription, and in addition it will allow you to download all the series that can be downloaded if you take a one-year subscription, otherwise you can download 13 episodes per month as a monthly subscription. For the moment it is 40 series that are concerned, a little less than a quarter of the catalog, but the offer is destined to extend on more content!
And that's it?
Well, that's not bad, isn't it? But be aware that several VF will be added as language choices in the coming weeks. In addition, you should know that a subscription including DVD/BR boxes is being studied, and that the application for Playstation 4 will also arrive…
