Synopsis :
While Kokonotsu continues his path to become a manga artist, Hotaru refuses to give up hope and is still trying to bring him back to the side of Japanese snacks. With new faces and tasty new treats to try, Kokonotsu could be influenced to take over at his father's candy shop, or leave his small town and follow his manga dreams.

A sweet and sweet start to the season
From the beginning of the episode, we dive into a sweet and joyful atmosphere with a lively and catchy opening, enough to start the season well. Regarding the scenario, no reminder is made on the story so you are free to dive back into the first season to remember the main plot of the story. We are therefore pleased to find the characters of Kokonotsu, Hotaru and many others, who, we remind you, have changed design since the chara-designer is no longer the same as for season 1. This detail is a little "disturbing" at first since the characters are not quite the same, but they are quite recognizable and it is therefore absolutely not disturbing for the sequel.
From the first minutes, we have the pleasure of discovering new sweets, which we admit it, made us hungry. This anime presents sweets that we are not used to seeing as the "Big Breaded" that was completely unknown to us and it made us want to taste them as soon as possible!
A slow start
However, this first episode is not as fast-paced as we expected. Indeed, the episodes went from 24 minutes to 15 minutes. After removing the opening and ending, we move to 10-12 minutes of episode, which is relatively short, the story does not have time to launch as it is already finished.
In this episode, we certainly discovered new treats, but at the level of the main frame, nothing has advanced and the latter has hardly been recalled. This episode is not catchy enough for the beginning of the second season and did not particularly make us want to dive into the next one, which is a shame since we enjoyed the first season.
This beginning of the season is not extraordinary, but we will still watch the following episodes hoping that the story starts, that it is more catchy and more rhythmic. And you, what did you think of this beginning of the second season?
