The manga Koe no Katachi, more commonly known as A Silent Voice, will be screened in Japanese theaters on September 17. The animated film adapted from the eponymous manga unveiled today a good example: the distribution of teasers with Japanese subtitles! A major novelty for this authentic manga with a very serious subject!
If you are one of those who do not yet know this phenomenon that is A Silent Voice, I refer you to my review of the manga. If you are looking for short, poignant series with diverse and serious subjects, go no further! Because A Silent Voice is for you! This manga in 7 volumes directed by Yoshitoki Ôima, released in early 2015 by Ki-oon editions is a real phenomenon in Japan. Indeed, no less than 700,000 copies were sold in less than 4 months after the release of the first volume. A manga with low sounds but of deep beauty that deserves to be given life in the form of an animated film.
Subtitles for a film about deafness:
A great example!
The novelty of the day? The release of a 30-second teaser and a 60-second trailer. All with Japanese subtitles! A great effort when we know the impact that this manga has had in Japan on the image of disability. Not to mention the number of people who have been affected around the world by this title. A subtitling that may not look like that… But which will nevertheless allow many deaf or hard of hearing people to be able to follow A Silent Voice on the big screen without constraints!A very nice example to follow!

This is an animated film produced by Kyoto Animation that I am looking forward to! While hoping to see it land in Europe very soon! Because A Silent Voice is a mix of poetry, strong subjects such as disability, suicide, but also great stories of friendship!
