[Live Report] Terres du Son 2022: The Touraine festival that should not be missed

The eco-responsible festival Terres du Son in Touraine made its comeback for its 17th^{edition on} July 8, 9 and 10 at the Domaine de Candé in Monts. After a 2021 edition adapted to Covid, Terres du Son has returned in force without health restrictions, as it had been with the health crisis. Between large-scale musical programming and consideration of ecological issues thanks to adapted devices (sorting, deposit for glasses, cleaning teams, etc.) and committed conferences, the festival has conquered the hearts of nearly 38,000 festival-goers. FRIDAY, JULY 8 –^DAY 1 8:00 PM – First headliner of the festival Known for his titles between rap and French song with powerful and meaningful lyrics aimed at deconstructing the fixed ideas of society to highlight difference, Eddy de Pretto was the first headliner of the festival to perform on the main stage. He was able to cover many titles from his last album already gold record " A tous les bâtards" such as Kid, Bâteau Mouche or Créteil Soleil and other titles that had made him known such as Fête de Trop. The artist was able to capture the attention of festival-goers thanks to his sincerity, his naturalness and his charisma on stage while involving his audience who surely had a great time. 10:10 p.m. – A highly anticipated rapper duo (literally) Scheduled for 10:10 p.m., the two brothers of the group PNL only went on stage after a delay of more than 1:30 thus shifting the programming by an hour and shortening the production time of other artists more popular than the group of rappers. Many festival-goers could not stand the wait and preferred to eat or participate in a karaoke on the theme of the 80s which took place at the Electric Village at the same time: laughter guaranteed. The most determined fans were then able to attend the production of NLP on stage with a mixed atmosphere after this long wait characteristic of the band. The scenography, with the play of lights and the music, was perfectly realized despite the attitude of the group on stage. 1h50 – The earthquake of the evening Originally scheduled for a quarter past midnight, the French DJ Martin Solveig, known for his many titles around the world, was able to take all the festival-goers in his set and make them dance to the point of having had aches and pains the next day. The DJ covered many of his hits starting with his title All Stars which was able to grab from the first title his audience followed by All Day and Night, Hello, Places, Intoxicated and many others. He also played his new song Lovely Hearts by challenging his audience to set as much atmosphere as possible to try to win tickets for his next concert and honestly, the audience of Terre du Son is well on their way to winning this challenge. Many songs known to all have been remixed by the DJ such as Bande Organisé, In da Getto, Love Tonight or Freed From Desire. 2:50 am – A memorable end of the evening It was the Gargäntua group that closed this first day of the festival by performing many songs in front of festival-goers still in great shape and ready to enjoy the festival until the end of the night. SATURDAY, JULY 9 – 2ND DAY 9:00 pm – A group between rap and singing It is the group of Parisian rappers 47TER who opens this second day of festival certainly less populated than the day before but with festival-goers still in great shape. The band performed its many songs including festival-goers who did not know their songs and their fans of the first hour. They of course took the title, On Avait Dit, which had made them known in 2019 and that many knew. 10:20 pm – Coup de Coeur for the group L'Impératrice It was the turn of the French group L'Impératrice to tread the stage of Terres du Son, with its disco-pop titles to patch hearts with their costumes and music that made the crowd dance in front of the small stage. Known for their very summery title Vanille Fraise, L'Impératrice also performed her title Peur des Filles which was very popular with festival-goers.   11:30 pm – A band close to its audience We continue this second day of the festival with the electro-pop group Deluxe who offered festival-goers a real show with many choreographies. The band, close to its audience, talked a lot between its different pieces before making them dance again. 00h50 – A multi-talented artist We really appreciated the artist S+C+A+R+R, who we discovered thanks to the Terres du Son festival. Between stylish choreography and singing, S+C+A+R+R was able to catch us in his universe without difficulty. Accompanied by his musicians, the artist managed to make festival-goers dance to electro-pop tracks with a hint of house that we really liked. 02:00 – A last dance for this second day To finish this second night of the festival, we stopped on the way back for the DJ group Dirtyphonics LIIVE who proposed songs full of energy that knew how to set the mood to make the crowd dance. SUNDAY 10 JULY – 3RD day 20h00 – She put glitter in our eyes What better than the sparkling Juliette Armanet to start this third and last day of the festival? The artist arrived on stage throwing roses into the crowd and then performed many titles well known to the public: Last Day of Disco, Tu me Play, L'Amour en Solitaire, Brûler le Feu and even dedicated his song Imagine Love to one of the festival-goers named Lucas and who made us laugh. The singer literally set fire to the stage with energetic dances, changed outfits several times, looks full of sequins that we loved! 9:05 pm – The rapper with many surprises The turn of the rapper Lujipeka, former member of the group Columbine, who quickly set the mood with his title Putain d'Époque, Poupée Russes and many others by inviting two other rappers to his side on stage. The rapper offered festival-goers many pogos and distributed t-shirts in the crowd with cannons. We almost managed to catch one! 9:55 pm – A family artist Then we find one of the most appreciated French artists: Vianney who proposed a family show by interpreting his best known titles such as Pas Là, Moi Aimer Toi, Dumbo, Je m'en Vais or La Même during which he invited a troupe of young dancers. Vianney was able to please young and old alike by offering a slightly quieter show by involving its audience. 11:10 pm – The sun in the night We then changed the atmosphere for the DJ and producer Myd Live Band who knew how to make the crowd dance by also proposing pogos that he was able to join and enter into full communion with his audience. He then performed his summer title The Sun which we have no doubt is likely to follow you all summer! 00:15 – End clap in apotheosis To close this^17th edition of the festival Terres du Son as it should be, the DJ Kungs, eagerly awaited during this festival, began his set by remixing his songs to the international success Never Going Home, Lipstick, Clap Your Hands, Regarde-Moi or This Girl and other titles like Don't Start Now by Dua Lipa. The artist managed to make all festival-goers dance and delight his fans of the first hour who were not disappointed with the proposed show. The Terres du Son festival ended on this positive note. We will certainly keep good memories and we are already looking forward to returning next year to discover and rediscover new artists from all walks of life.
