Ezra Collective is named by Rolling Stone as one of SXSW's great musical discoveries, by Pigeons & Plane as one of the best emerging bands to listen to, and by the New York Times as one of London's liveliest bands, due to their freshness and imagination in their interpretation of jazz's timeless imprint. This band offers us a new album Where I'm Meant to Be that resonates and radiates modernity with featuring Sampa The Great, Kojey Radical, Emile Sande and Nao.The album cover refers to Thelonious Monk's Underground. The music brilliantly fuses classical jazz, with afrobeat, hip-hop and dancehall rhythms. In the continuity of their last single released in June Victory Dance, the album Where I'm Meant To Be is an opus that celebrates Life, elevates the sound in the hybrid and winding heights of contemporary jazz, on the border of free jazz and jazz fusion. A unique and recognizable sound, developed during the years of improvisation on stage. Life Goes On, featuring Sampa The Great, is a nod to Fela Kuti's 1972 record, Shakara Oloje. The accompanying music video was directed by Nathan Miller and was shot in London and Lusaka. "London meets Lusaka. Moments of joy, moments of struggle, but united in the spirit that we must continue. Life has to go on," the band said, describing their inspiration behind the new track. "We write our music with the constant desire to push the boundaries of what we can mix with jazz. This track incorporates the energies of the vibrations of Southern Africa, mixed with our own style of London jazz. And there is no better person to express this beauty than the Queen, Sampa the Great." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sS-QEyLycs
