Elodie Rama presents her new album with Les Voiles

Elodie Rama returns with a new album announced on the label 10h10 for 2023 with an excellent sound introduction, Les Voiles, to discover in video clip on Just Focus. Discovered in Blue Apple Quartet and then alongside Hocus Pocus, singer Elodie Rama takes off with her new single, Les Voiles. Elodie Rama patiently weaves her dreamlike canvas and her island poetics between Nantes and Marseille where she lives today. After collaborating with many artists such as Hocus Pocus, Sly Johnson or Baloji, Elodie Rama took off solo with a new album, scheduled for 2023, via the label 10h10 of which we can already discover Les Voiles, the first extract. "The label of variety, in the sense of eclecticism, plurality, does not scare me. I claim something very open… I insist on this idea of reinventing things, of proposing a new musical geography. This is something close to my heart. The arrangements of Atom by the Nantes collective C2C allow the various atmospheres of the song to grow and take it to the dance floor. It is as much in words as music that Élodie Rama is realized: in love with Creole and island culture, she makes Edouard Glissant, Aimé Césaire, Maryse Condé and Patrick Chamoiseau her companions on the road. Creolization, a concept conceived by Glissant, is infused into each of her artistic productions, both musical and visual with also imaginary islands, geographical maps made of very real places, which she thinks as subjects to dream. This perpetual quest for hybridity makes him meet Témé Tan and La Chica, which have become over time strong and fusional relationships, until featurings on a new album to be released in early 2023.
