Anat Moshkovski and Shuzin come to us from the Israeli indie scene with their cover of the hit The Most Beautiful Little Girl in the World. A title that has crossed borders and generations, and continues to move us with this beautiful adaptation in French, served by a highly artistic clip. A JustFocus musical discovery. The prettiest little girl in the world is released today, adapted by Anat and Shuzin, who bring it up to date with a new translation of what is one of the greatest classics of the pantheon of Israeli music of all time. It is a song written in Hebrew by Yehonathan Geffen (while he was visiting Paris!), composed by Yoni Rechter, and sung by the legendary Israeli singer Yehudit Ravitz. The original song is celebrating its 42nd anniversary today. During the lockdown, Anat and Shuzin contacted their French-Israeli musician colleague Noémie Dahan who did a remarkable job of translating the song. It's like the song wants to have a French version all this time… The single was released under the emerging label of the Haifa-based Israeli collective, "Ghostown Records" – which aims to release uncompromising production tracks, accompanied by uncompromising art and content. A retrospective of a life and the work that was totally devoted to it, "The Most Beautiful Little Girl in the World" looks at the past and the present with a musical and visual sensitivity plunging us tenderly back into the innocence of childhood and the eve of a more mature age, memory of these journeys and the stories that rocked them.
