The British band the Maccabees will be in concert on January 29, 2016 at La Cigale on the occasion of the release of their opus Marks To Prove it.
The Maccabees are a British indie rock band formed in 2004 from London. It consists of Orlando Weeks, Hugo Harry William White, Felix White, Rupert Jarvis and Sam Doyle. After two EPs You Make Noise, I Make Sandwiches and Toothpaste Kisses, they released their first album in 2007 Colour It In which includes the inevitable Precious Time. Their second album Wall of Arms was released in 2009, followed by Given to The Wild in 2012. But this summer the band made its return this summer with its fourth album Marks To Prove It in 2015 which was particularly acclaimed by critics, it already includes the singles Marks To Prove It, Something Like Happiness, Spit It Out and the rumor announces that the next one will be Kamakura.
After a remarkable appearance at the Glastonbury and Rock En Seine festivals last summer, the band announced a single date in France in Paris as part of their European tour: January 29 at La Cigale!
