The synopsis for this season 1 is as follows: "The Bold Type follows the personal and professional adventures of Jane, Kat, and Sutton, three New York friends who realize their dream by working for Scarlet, a successful women's magazine. But as they try to find their place in this glamorous and merciless universe, they will also have to fulfill themselves as young women, between love stories, betrayals, and dictates of social networks.
