Orage et des espoirs, a touching and sincere play, at the Théâtre La Croisée des Chemins (75015) until October 28, 2016.
Storm and hopes: a realistic love story
Adam is a young African, actor in the making, in a relationship with a writer, married and father of a teenage girl. These two men love each other but tear each other apart because they cannot confess to their respective families their sexual orientation still kept secret. Cowardice for one? Survival instinct for the other? What will be the consequences of their confession if not the destruction of a household and the shame on Adam's Muslim family, followed by a need for revenge? Double penalty for him: he is an artist and homosexual. Do you know what is done to homosexuals in his village?
It is a guilty relationship, a quest for truth, a cruel romance, played with great sincerity by Adamou Wane and Matias De Sa Moreira. A touching encounter written and directed by Alexis Matthews and enhanced by Salim Kirby's saxophone interventions. A well thought out, subtle piece, written in one day, and which should have a bright future.A team to follow!
