A tribute to Hans Zimmer
Hans Zimmer is recognized worldwide as a musical genius and as one of the greatest composers that ever existed. From Disney cartoons to American blockbusters to the DC universe, his compositions are world-famous and are rooted in pop culture and music history.
The show The Music Of Hans Zimmer and Others proposed by the Salle Pleyel is a celebration of his career and his impressive career in the world of cinematographic music but also a tribute to his influences.
The show is performed by the Moldovan Symphony Orchestra accompanied by 4 members of the bilingual Lion King musical Broadway and a Soprano.
The 2 hours of show are separated into two parts, retracing the career of Hans Zimmer, starting with his participation in the composition of the title Video killed the radio star of The Buggles to his greatest masterpieces such as his music for the films of Christopher Nolan.
A perfect show for a family outing
A show that wants to be friendly, the Lion King troupe seeks to engage the room during the 2 hours, so as to make it a perfect idea for a family outing to delight the youngest and the oldest.
Adults are conquered by the music of Gladiator or James Bond and children sing in heart the famous mythical Hakuna Matata.
In the setlist, we find compositions for Inception, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Batman, Spiderman, Interstellar, James Bond or the Davinci Code. Everything is accompanied by passages of the films shown on screens behind the orchestra to make us truly immerse ourselves in the world of Hans Zimmer.
The show also pays tribute to Ennio Morricone, illustrious film composer and model of Hans Zimmer, notably with the interpretation of music from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. This is not the only tribute, since the Lion King troupe also pays tribute to Nelson Mandela by performing The Circle of Life and explaining hidden political references.
The show ends with a magnificent performance by the symphony orchestra of the Ukrainian anthem in tribute to the conflict that crosses the country.
