STOMP, the revolutionary harmony

Let's bet it from the start: the dance of STOMP breathes life, in a joyful exhalation of a feeling of freedom, almost revolutionary in the gestures. Having in its hands the salt of the earth, the group is in contact with the Earth to offer us what is most beautiful.

One can quickly be impressed by what this group can offer in terms of effort, demands, in all the noise it makes. STOMP is eight musicians who were officially formed in 1991 (but one could think that they knew each other for a lifetime) in the small English town of Brighton. Steve McNicholas, actor, and Luke Cresswell, percussionist, had the rich idea of bringing together a whole bunch of active young people who had only one desire: to come into direct contact with the tunes in a harmony of sounds and shapes.

This group reminds us a little of the beginnings of hip-hop: a social demand that does not deny a creative talent. STOMP reminds us that being deeply rooted in everyday life, without throwing anything of modernity, allows us to be in tune with the aspirations of a youth in full desire for freedom, renewal. They are to be seen, observed, enjoyed at the Casino de Paris, from January 26 to February 7, 2016 at 8 pm.
