[Festival d'Avignon] If I were a tree, a universe to discover!

Gauthier Fourcade takes us into a world of puns, sensitive and frankly funny… At Espace Roseau at 12:15.

Gauthier Fourcade posterA dominant of black embellished with a touch of red and the universe of Gauthier Fourcade unfolds before our eyes. At the heart of this universe in which it is so good to bathe every year, we find the same character grappling with new spiritual questions.

"Where am I? Here or there? But if I'm here, it's because I'm here!… »

We lose ourselves with delight, guided by this man who is looking for himself. Dizzy by nature, he sowed pieces of himself everywhere. He even lost his mind.

During this quest for identity, through multiple paintings that apparently have nothing to do with each other, Gauthier Fourcade tells us about friendship, marriage, death, childhood, family, roots, God, consumer society. It evokes a whole bunch of other subjects in which we all find ourselves at one time or another and which never leave us indifferent.

The very refined tray has some ridiculous but efficient accessories. The power of the actor's unobtrusive presence, accompanied by a discreet light, is self-sufficient.

With force, puns and ideas, Gauthier Forcade leads us on the stormy paths of lexical pirouettes, conjugation contortions. In the end, in a masterfully mastered somersault, he falls back on his first idea, the red thread of his piece. With emotion, he guides us to the top of the tree that he would be if he were one. In this case an orange tree whose roots are in Algeria.

A true acrobat of the word, worthy son of Raymond Devos, Boby Lapointe and Raymond Queneau to name a few, he enchants us with his poetry and philosophy in a warm and tender humor, effective and hard-hitting, pathetic and charming.
