Are present on the project: Malfrat, Nagaz, S. low, Ambad, Sp!ke, Once, Ouail, or K Rhyme Le Roi. A cast with little onions for this mixtape that appears as a business card of the Grab house. 8 songs, 22 minutes of listening. Here's what this first mixtape offers your ears. A project that wants to reflect the cohesion that reigns within the label. This is what Rayan, head of music production at Grab, explains: "The story began last summer at the bar Le Corner in Marseille. I was a DJ there. I met some of the team I work with today. Currently the owner of the Corner provides us with the place. In addition I live above and I have set up a recording studio. Everything revolves around this bar." Meetings that allowed the creation of Grab Session, Vol.1. Regarding this project, Rayan explains: "We wanted to highlight each figure and profession of the label. There is an intro made by Malfrat who is one of the beatmakers of the project, just like Once, who did the Outro. We also highlighted the work of our director Carbo who directed the clips. It's a calling card for rappers as much as for beatmakers and professionals who have worked on it. Everyone is put forward." A project 100% made in Marseille with young talents who know how to impose themselves. There is the song Little brother of Nagaz which revisits the classic of IAM. About this title Nagaz confides "it is a sound that rocked my childhood. In my piece I wanted to pay tribute to my little brothers. I talk about my life while sending them a message." We hear Nagaz again in the song Cabine with Sp!ke, and in Gs1 on which we find all the artists of the project. "We all had to be together on a track," explains S.low, who is one of them. "To determine the order of passage we put a paper with numbers in a hat. We just knew the chorus was for K Rhyme The King!" Rayan adds. Moreover S.low also poses on the title Flex with Ambad, and on Adios. Regarding Adios he confides: "I really like melodic prods even if I make dark sounds. I'm a fan of drill and at that time there was no melodious drill yet. Listening to this prod I wanted to try to rap with a flow that remains close to drill while adding a melodious touch, which comes out of the classic codes." To accompany the release of Grab Session, Vol.1 three clips directed by Carbo have been put online: Gs1 bringing together all the artists of the project, Little brother of Nagaz and Adios of S.low.
