After the success of Dévaste-moi in November 2017 at the International Visual Theatre, Emmanuelle Laborit and the Delano Orchestra are performing again on stage until March 2019.
A frenzied concert
In Dévaste-moi, Emmanuelle Laborit and the Delano Orchestra cover many songs on the theme of women. From Agnès Bihl's incisive prose to Alain Bashung's reverie, the audience is drawn into a concert as profound as it is entertaining. The staging by Johanny Bert highlights the poignant interpretation of Emmanuelle Laborit whose chansigne sublimates all the texts chosen. Between abortion, sexual freedom, menopause and violence, the topics discussed are diverse and give off many emotions. Dévaste-moi is also a particularly intimate show, in which the candy actress delivers her personal story through funny and moving confidences.
A hymn to music
Devastate Me is a declaration of love to music and what it represents. The show is suitable for both hearing and hearing impaired. The music is played and lived in all possible ways, mixing instruments in madness and chansigne often translated in the background, even going so far as to offer a magnificent moment of music chansigned by the Delano Orchestra, music first silent and then expelled from the body like a cry of love. This love and generosity are even shared more with the public when the latter is invited to sing the chorus of Brigitte Fontaine's Pipeau . The choice of songs performed is intelligent and the titles are cleverly connected to each other, allowing a wide variety of emotions and creating a relationship of complicity with the spectators.
Dévaste-moi is an exceptional concert and a unique show from which we emerge bathed in a shower of emotions even after several performances.
