At the Essaion Theatre, Hélène Larrodé presents the only one on stage Le rêve d'une danse this Wednesday, June 30 at 7pm, then from September 2 to 23 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9pm.
Dancing in the face of grief
Written and performed by Hélène Larrodé, directed by Pascal Besson, Le rêve d'une danse invites the spectator into the intimacy of Delphine's life. Following the death of her mother, Delphine will have to fight to be able to live again. Alongside Dr. Coiffu, a psychiatrist, she learns to gradually overcome this ordeal through dance.
An intimate representation
The very intimate subject of the show and Hélène Larrodé's sensitive performance find a benevolent setting within the Théâtre Essaion. The magnificent stones of the hall offer a unique setting, which reinforces the intimate atmosphere of the show. The proximity with the public is reinforced by the layout of the room that installs the spectator as close as possible to the stage.
The dream of a dance
Particularly intimate throughout the performance, Le rêve d'une danse mixes moments of life and symbolic images that give the spectator the feeling of sharing with Hélène Larrodé these dreams that Delphine has and that carry her in spite of herself towards a happier and more dancing tomorrow. Through the only on stage Le rêve d'une danse, Hélène Larrodé proves that dance can soothe the soul even in the most difficult trials.
