Hulu decided to hit hard at New York Comic Con. The small platform that hit hard at the last edition of the Emmy Awards with The Handmail's Tale awarded has unveiled the trailers of two productions that should be highly anticipated: Runaways and Future Man.
At the helm of Future Man, a duo that the public is beginning to know well, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The duo is particularly creative and has distinguished itself for several years already on many productions. Comic book fans and AMC viewers know Preacher which is a particularly crazy adaptation of the comic-book by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.
The series will land quite quickly on Hulu since its broadcast begins on November 14. It will consist of 13 episodes.
Josh Hutcherson (one of the headliners of the Hunger Games trilogy) plays the main protagonist of the show. His character is a janitor by day, and takes advantage of the night to play video games. He finished the game Bionic Force, a game that no gamer had managed to finish. Two soldiers from the future then appear who explain to him that this tool is more than entertainment, it is an essential way to recruit the character who will save the world.
Future Man is largely inspired by a 1984 science fiction feature film, The Last Starfigter. The trailer assumes its quirky spirit and reveals some amazing sequences that should seduce a wide audience. Time travel will be one of the themes of the show.
