Synopses for the CW's superheroic series!

This week, synopses of the first episodes of our four CW superhero series Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl were revealed. Focus on each of them below! 

 

Arrow

First episode of season 5 aired on Wednesday, October 5.

"Recently elected mayor, Oliver Queen must fight on two fronts to secure the future of Star City. While Diggle has returned to the army and Thea is now reluctant to put on Speedy's hood again, the Green Arrow team is no longer limited to Oliver and Felicity – but they are no longer the only vigilantes in the city.Green Arrow's public victory over Damien Darkh at the end of Season 4 inspired a new slew of masked heroes to stand up and defend the city, though their lack of experience makes them obstacles more than allies on the ground. The arrival of a deadly new enemy will force Oliver to question his legacy, both as mayor and Green Arrow. »

The Flash

First episode of season 3 aired on Tuesday, October 4.

"Blinded by anger, Barry unwittingly played into Zoom's hands and discovered the evil car's true purpose: to destroy every version of Earth in the 'multiverse'. In the race of his life, Barry finally manages to get the better of Zoom and get rid of his nemesis. Unable to celebrate his victory, he then makes a decision that will turn the world upside down and goes back in time to that night when his mother died, to prevent Reverse-Flash from killing her, irrevocably changing the past and re-determining the future. »

 

Legends of Tomorrow

First episode of season 2 aired on Thursday, October 13.

"After the defeat of the immortal Vandal Savage and the corrupt Time Masters who were in cahoots with him, a new threat emerges. Dr. Nate Heywood, an unconventional and charming historian, is immersed in the action when he makes a shocking discovery – the Legends are scattered throughout time. Nate must therefore find a way to gather the beloved heroes and rebels of season 1, including billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, creator of an exo-skeleton capable of making him shrink and tiny, and who makes him A.T.O.M.; Sara Lance, known as Canary, a highly trained assassin;  Professor Martin Stein and Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson who together form the metahuman Firestorm; and Mick Rory, aka Heat Wave, a hardened criminal. When the Legends meet the Justice Society of America (forerunner of the Justice League) in the 40s, Amaya Jiwe, aka Vixen, joins the team. And as it gathers, a mystery looms: the fate of former Captain Rip Hunter. Once reunited, the Legends continue their new mission to protect the timeline from temporal aberrations – unusual changes in history with potentially catastrophic consequences. Supergirl

First episode of season 2 aired on Monday, October 10.

"Kara left the safety of her job as Cat Grant's assistant, to look for what she really wants to do, while as Supergirl, she continues to collaborate with the DEO (Department of Extra-Normal Operations) to protect the people of National City while searching for information about Jeremiah and Cadmus. Along the way, she will team up with Superman to fight new villains, while trying to find the balance between her personal and superheroic lives. »
