Meylo unveils an EP of six tracks, Ladyblues, to discover with the clip of his new single, a title between soul and folk selected by JustFocus. Meylo appeared to us last year with Dance With Me Tonight. A cover of Olly Murs that the young singer took acoustically, without cheating, in stripped down version. Lila followed, a title that opened the way for her radios and the public. The young woman has therefore established herself at only twenty-five years old thanks to her guitar playing and her caressing voice. Supported by two famous producers of the French reggae scene, Vanupié its producer, and the musician Flox, Meylo chooses a stripped down folk format, carried by some electronic fragments, far from today's music, and aims for the timeless, like its heroes Lauryn Hill and Bob Marley. The young singer already has a long history, rich in multiple influences. Born in Togo, she keeps in her ear the sounds of her country and in particular the choirs. Then she discovered folk music, reggae and is now passionate about pop. So many facets that she unites musically thanks to her voice full of feeling. "Never full Never mind Sun is ON for all the ride I was Right to go to Get a light and date him Heart scraper's stays around There not Separate things Step Aside him, take on" sings Meylo on Ladyblues On her EP Ladyblues, which she released on Shoestring Records created with Vanupié, Meylo offers six titles. We find of course his first two titles, Lila and Dance With Me Tonight, but also Come Again, Next to Me and Mean Man, which illustrate the sentimental inclination of his music. Meylo casts out his demons, and is inspired by the blues. Armed with her guitar, she reveals her joys, her sorrows, her hopes. Enough to be affected durably. Meylo embodies a modern Ladyblues . We can listen to him with his new clip directed by Christopher Kristo.
