Annabelle 3 (which doesn't have an official title yet) was announced recently by director Gary Dauberman and producer James Wan. This new chapter in The Conjuring franchise already promises to be terrifying.
Since 2014, the Annabelle doll has the right to her own films. Briefly approached in the film The Conjuring, she will have the right to her own trilogy with Annabelle in 2014, Annabelle: the creation of evil in 2017 and the third film to come in 2019.
This new chapter should talk about the Annabelle doll during her stay with the famous spirit hunters, Ed and Lorraine Warren, that is, shortly before the events of the movie The Conjuring.The first film in this franchise, The Conjuring, was a huge success when it was released in 2013, raking in $319 million worldwide. It is thanks to this success that New Line Cinema has created a whole universe around the Warren files.
Annabelle films like The Conjuring are loosely based on the real records of the Warren couple. As many know, the real Annabelle doll is now in a museum in the United States. It is not known if this doll was possessed or not, but what is certain is that her story was a good inspiration to the screenwriter of the first two films.
For now, all we know about the film's crew is director and screenwriter, Gary Dauberman, as well as producer James Wan. We don't have more information regarding the casting. A little more patience! The film is expected to see the light of day by 2019.
