Dear readers, this week we tested a most interesting escape game. Located a stone's throw from Père Lachaise, Artimus was able to surprise us, despite our experience in this area.

Sublime decorations of the first step taken in the escape game

Open since December 23rd, this brand new escape game was imagined and designed by two decoration professionals. With their experience (whether at the Angoulême festival or in the Hermès and Armani windows) the Artimus team has managed to create an extraordinary and coherent visual universe both in the rooms and in the lobby; Each element of the latter seems to tell a story and is extremely pleasant to look at…

…Except this penguin, I don't know about you, but we find it particularly anxiety-provoking!

Almost total immersion

So that an escape game is not just an hour-long activity but an experience that leaves a vivid memory, several elements come into play, one of them is immersion.

Here, although the scenery greatly contributes to the immersion, two other points sublimate them: the narrative and the puzzles. The setting up of the story is done from the front door: you do not enter an escape game but a cabinet of curiosities and the game masters do an excellent job of conveying this sensation. They do not leave their character, even after the session is over and each room participates more or less in an overall scenario.

In addition, the puzzles are an echo of the universe of the room, each obstacle must be overcome by manipulating mechanisms specific to the scenario. Moreover, here we do not manipulate the eternal padlocks, but indeed tortuous mechanisms that do not constantly bring us back to our condition as players. Add to this the absence (with a few minor exceptions) of non-interactive elements that only serve to hide the workings of the room, and you have an extremely convincing room.

All these elements enrich the experience that Artimus offers and make this escape an unforgettable experience.

The team and I were pleasantly surprised, and recommend this escape game to all: all the elements (scenery, puzzles and atmosphere) are sublimated by their mutual interweaving.
Beginners and experienced players will find their account within this brand.
