To start this year 2022, we will introduce you to 2 female Kpop groups that started very recently. Each of these bands have different concepts but they have been eagerly awaited by Kpop fans.
Let's start with IVE:
IVE is a South Korean girl group consisting of 6 members (description of the members right after). The group is part of the Starship Entertainment label, a label that includes bands like Monsta X and WJSN. This girl band debuts on December 01, 2021 with their very first single "Eleven". The name of the girls' fandom is DIVE, whose motto is "Dive into IVE". Each member of the group has colors that represent it, it is part of the concept.
Presentation of the members:
Yu Jin (유진) is the leader of the group. She is also a dancer and lead vocalist for IVE. Yujin was born in Korea on September 1, 2003. In addition, she is known for her participation in Produce 48 but also as a former member of the Kpop group "I'zone". Green is the color that represents it. 
Gaeul (가을) is the oldest member of the group, born on September 24, 2004. She is a rapper and lead dancer of IVE. Gaeul is also South Korean. Dark blue is its color. 
Rei (레이) is the main rapper as well as the vocalist of the group. Unlike the others it is the only foreign member of IVE. She is Japanese and born on February 3, 2004. Purple is its color. 
Wonyoung (원영) was born on August 31, 2004, she is the highest member of the group. She is the vocalist and visual of the group. Wonyoung is also Korean. Just like Yujin, she participated in the survival program "Produce 48" and is a former member of the group "I-Zone". Red is its color. 
Liz (리즈) was born on November 21, 2004 in Korea. She is the lead singer of IVE. The orange color represents it. 
Leeseo (이서) was born on February 21, 2007, she is the smallest member of the group. She therefore has the position of maknae (smaller member in Korean), vocalist and dancer. Leeseo is also Korean. The representative color is light blue.
What else can I say about IVE?
In addition to their lead single " Eleven ", they released another theme called " Take it ". On December 8, the IVE girls got their first victory in a TV show called "Show Champion". They thus become the fastest band to win in a music show since their debut (7 days). https://youtu.be/–FmExEAsM8
Now, let's move on to the Kep1er group:
Kep1er is a girl group consisting of 9 girls. The girl group started very recently, on January 3, 2022. Also, the name of the fanclub is Kep1ian. Why this choice of name? Because the members and fans live in the planet "Kep1er" where they both share the same dream. Kep1ian are the people who unconditionally support Kep1er. The 9 members are part of different agencies. However, they have two joint agencies which are "Wakeone Entertainment" as well as "Swing Entertainment". Kep1er is made up of the winners of the first season of Mnet's survival show Girls Planet 999.
Presentation of the members :
Let's start from left to right:
- On the left, we have the oldest member of the group. Her name is Yujin (유진), she is known to be part of the CLC group. Her agency is Cube Entertainment and she was born on August 12, 1996 in Korea. In addition to being the oldest, she is also the leader.
- Then in the center, we have Xiao Ting (샤오팅), she was born on November 12, 1999. Xiao Ting is the only Chinese member of the group.
- On the right, we have Mashiro (마시로) who is the co-leader of Kep1er. It is part of the agency 143 Entertainment. Plus, many of us know her as an intern at JYP Entertainment.She was born on December 16, 1999 in Japan, which makes her one of the two Japanese members.
Let's continue with the presentation of the members:
- On the left, we have Chae Hyun (채현). She is the lead singer of the group, she was born on April 26, 2002 in Korea. She was an intern at SM Entertainment. However, she is now part of the Wakeone Entertainment agency.
- In the center we have Dayeon (다연). Like other members of the previous group IVE, Dayeon participated in Produce 48. She was born on March 2, 2003 in Korea. In addition, she is part of the agency Jelly Fish Entertainment.
- On the right, we have Ezaki Hikaru (에자키히카루), she was born on March 12, 2004 in Japan. This makes her the second Japanese member.
- On the left, we have Young Eun (영은), she was born on November 27, 2004. She is part of the agency Biscuit Entertainment.
- In the center, we have Huening Bahiyyih (휴닝바히에). She is known because she is the sister of Huening Kai, current member of the TXT group. Bahiyyih was born on July 27, 2004. Currently, she is part of the agency IST Entertainment.
- On the right, we have the last member of the group called Yeseo (예서). Previously, she was part of the group "Busters" before joining Kep1er. Like Mashiro, she is part of the agency 143 Entertainment.
What more can I say about this Girls Band?
Kep1er started on January 3rd with their very first mini album: "FIRST IMPACT". The main song is " WA DA DA ". On December 5, 2021 Wakeone Entertainment and Swing Entertainment released a statement announcing that the band's debut would be delayed after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19. Unfortunately, this prevented the girls from performing at the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2021 on December 11 as planned. Despite this, the girls received great success.
