The official website of Cyborg 009 Call of Justice has just posted a new promotional video for OAVs!
Cyborg 009 Call of Justice, adapted from Ishinomori Shotaro's manga "Cyborg 009" celebrates the 50th anniversary of the paper series! Indeed, 3 OAVs have been created for the occasion, and will benefit from a preview screening in Japanese cinemas.The first OAV aired on November 25, the second on December 2 and the third will air on Friday, December 9.
The series, which dates from 1994, has 23 volumes in Japan, against 17 volumes in France, the publication having been stopped by Glénat in 2014.
If you still want to discover this series despite the end of the publication of the manga in France, the series benefits from 3 anime adaptations (1968, 1979 and 2001). These 3 adaptations differ from each other but have a common main plot, the transformation of 9 humans into Cyborgs.
There are also 4 films based on the series. The first, Cyborg 009 The Movie, is based on the original story. The other 3 films concern them, a return of the 9 cyborgs!
Synopsis:
Joe Shimamura and the other cyborgs have finally been released from their duty and are spending peaceful days away from the fighting. But one day, a young journalist visits Joe. She explains that an organization called Bresudo is operational again, and that only cyborgs can stop it.
Fans of the series will be able to immerse themselves in the "special" Cyborg series again!
