Until now, Game of Thrones worked on a very regular basis: 10 episodes aired in April, May and June. It was a must, April was the month of the return of Game of Thrones and no one dared to touch it… Until now.
It's official, season 7 will indeed have ONLY 7 episodes and will be broadcast in the summer of 2017. The reason given: filming will begin later this summer in order to take advantage of the changing weather conditions at this time, because fans know: winter is here, so you have to have a corresponding weather. This delay in filming logically leads to a broadcast delay, but it implies above all that we will have to wait even longer than usual to find Westoros!
And as bad news never comes alone: this different treatment will apparently also be applied in season 8. It has already been announced that it will probably be the last, now we are informed that it too will be reduced to 7 or 8 episodes…
