On Thursday, July 9, 2016, more than 1,100 players from around the world gathered at the Convention Center in London, Ontario to celebrate TennoCon 2016, raising $74,000 for Outward Bound Canada!
This first convention dedicated to the free-to-play Warframe, developed and produced by Digital Extremes, was a great success. For one day, the Tenno (name given to the players) were able to benefit from activities, debates, tournaments and were able to meet the developers to exchange with.
Earlier this year, Digital Extremes pledged to donate 100% of the proceeds from TennoCon 2016 ticket sales to a charity, Outward Bound Canada, which works to protect children at risk, women victims of violence and help military veterans who wish to return to civilian life. Digital Extremes reports that with TennoCon 2016, no less than $74,000 was recovered through ticket sales for the event.
"There are no words to express the excitement and emotion we felt when we met such many fans," said Steve Sinclair, Creative Director at Digital Extremes. "It was an incredible experience for me and the entire Warframe development team to see how a game – our game – can bring a community together in such a positive way. Our community is very engaged and has proven this by making our first TennoCon a great success, not only by attending but also by helping to raise a significant amount of money for a very good cause."
TennoCon 2016 concluded with a special edition of Tennolive, streamed live on twitch.tv, in which players were able to see for the first time the exclusive content coming to Warframe this year.
What's New on Warframe
The War Within : This will be the last of three major Warframe updates, which began with the arrival of the competitive Lunaro game mode in June, followed by Specters of the Rail last week. Visitors to TennoCon 2016 got their first look at The War within's enigmatic teaser, featuring Operator as well as Conclave master Teshin. The War Within will arrive first on PC and will follow later on consoles.

New Warframe Titania: Warframe Design Director Scott McGregor introduced the new Warframe named Titania. It is arguably the ultimate Warframe capability that has received the most attention. Indeed Titania is able to reduce itself to 1/10th of its normal size, and thus navigate between the different levels of Archwing mode while attacking its enemies with the swarms of its venomous butterflies. Capability names and descriptions are not final.

100 Days of Warframe: In partnership with Paul Otaking77077 and the mashed teams, the anime "100 Days of Warframe" is an adventure of action and humor. The anime pays homage to Warframe and its community and places the story in the first 100 days after the Tenno awakens.
