After the critical and commercial success of Gareth Edwards' Godzilla in 2014, Warner has set out a clash between the giant lizard and the most famous and powerful gorilla in the universe: King Kong! The reboot of a beast with a tenfold size is therefore in the works and Warner has just unveiled the trailer at Comic Con!

Kong: The eighth wonder of the world! This giant gorilla, from the original feature film by Merian Caldwell Cooper and Ernest Beaumont Schoedsack, is adorned with a new adaptation, Kong: Skull Island, for release in 2017. This project was revived following the commercial success of Gareth Edwards' Godzilla, which managed to revive from the ashes, one of the most famous kaïjus of cinema. Warner Bros had fun imagining a titanic fight between the two monsters and so to restore the size scale, a new adaptation is started. After this Kong: Skull Island, the studio promises a Godzilla 2 for 2019 and a King Kong vs Godzilla for 2020.

Thus, after a disturbing poster (above) with an oversized monster, which is reminiscent of Godzilla's promotional campaign, this bestial and adventurous trailer promises an oversized show. We can see a beautiful image first of all, which is good for the retina, with a fair and clean calibration that makes you want. We feel a mystical side but also very warlike with a tribute to Apocalypse Now. No full visual for the monster (and that's good!) but an impressive amount of remarkable excess. Looking forward to 2017!

As a reminder, Kong: Skull Island tells the story of a team of explorers, in the 70s, sailing to a desert island without human life in the middle of the Pacific. As beautiful as it is treacherous, this island is actually home to a creature far from what the team hoped for. An animal myth named Kong. The feature film tells how the beast became king of Skull Island, his island.
