Synopsis :
Hana, a 16-year-old high school student, is forced to take her sister's place during an arranged meeting! Introduced to the heir of the great Takaba group, the very attractive Takane Saibara, the girl quickly becomes disillusioned with his arrogance. No longer holding on, she throws her four truths in his face, believing that she is getting rid of him. However, the next day, Takane offers him a new appointment, to believe that he asks for more!
At 26 years old, Takane is the heir to a large industrial group. His grandfather who flashed on Yukari, the daughter of one of his employees, decides to make it an arranged meeting. But the latter declines this invitation, and in order not to lose his job, the employee sends his second daughter Hana. Aged 16, she is a high school student of character. She doesn't have her tongue in her pocket and shows it from their first interview, but against all odds, it seems to interest Takane. Misplaced pride or real interest, it's up to you to find out.
Yuki Shiwasu offers us in Takane & Hana a romantic comedy between two beings that everything opposes. Between their age gap, their different social background and their strong characters, these two characters still attract each other. In this first volume, they slowly get to know each other and each tries to show the other his universe. Discoveries are made little by little and barriers fall in dribs and drabs. They gradually discover the hidden side of their partner and get closer quite naturally. But the difficulties will be numerous, especially on the side of this businessman, who seems to have a great future ahead of him. If the characters are very stereotyped, the drawings are correct for this theme, and the humor very present makes the reading light and fast.
This first volume of Takane & Hana serves as a setting up for their meeting. Our two protagonists meet and slowly get to know each other. Their diametrically opposed environment, their age difference and their strong characters give a multitude of reasons that could sweep away their idyll. Will they be able to deal with it?
