For Gamescom 2016, Blizzard offers us news on each of its licenses! From Overwatch to Diablo, Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Starcraft.
If last year's Gamescom 2015 was a press exclusive, which enraged more than one frustrated fan, this year for Gamescom 2016 the company seems to follow a different philosophy. Because indeed the multiple animations of the conference will be visible here.
For what will be shown, we will be able to see:
- For OVERWATCH:
First, anew animated short film named "The Last Bastion". Probably dedicated to the eponymous character of Overwatch. It will be streamed live on the Gamescon Blizzard site above, and here on Thursday, August 18 at 6 p.m. Note that many short films have already been released to promote Overwatch. Each dedicated to one or two characters in particular…
- And then the Overwatch Atlantic Showdown, August 20-21. Where several teams will fight for a prize pool of nearly $100,000.
- For WORLD OF WARCRAFT LEGION:
For the locals, the Legion café welcomes you to celebrate the release of the next expansion of Blizzard's MMO.
For people on site: The opportunity to test World Of Warcratf Legion which will not be released until August 30th. And especially the new class that the game introduces: The Demon Hunter.
And finally a fight between two of the best guilds of World Of Warcraft who will compete live on the Blizzard stage.
- For HEROES OF THE STORM
First La Brawlmania where several teams composed of personalities and pro players, will compete in thematic matches. More info here.
Then the autumn European tournament. Where teams will compete for the modest sum of one million dollars!
- For HEARTHSTONE:
Many duels between the best players in the world.
- For DIABLO:
For visitors the three opuses of the license will be playable.
And for viewers a work of art will be created live on stage by one of the graphic designers of the Blizzard team.
- And finally for STARCRAFT II:
Duels will be organized between Pro-gamers.
Not to mention the other animations, such as cosplay contests, and music from Blizzard licenses taken live are to be expected.
We notice that Blizzard, for this Gamescom 2016 seems to play the card of E-Sports, short films and artistic demonstrations, to finally reveal little, indeed as Blizzcon is only three months later, it is necessary to keep under the elbow. That 's just the first release in a long list of surprises that await us at Gamescom Blizzard this year, stay tuned for more information.
