On August 30, the sixth expansion of World of Warcraft was released, simply named Legion…

…Inviting horde and alliance players to unite to fend off demonic legions. And the least we can say is that with more than 3 million sales on the same day of its release, the new opus of the Warcraft saga has broken records. Becoming one of the fastest selling games in the world. Add to this that the number of simultaneous connections to the game has also reached its peak, something that had not happened since "Cataclysm" in 2010.

But World of Warcraft: Legion won't stop there…

Update 7.1 "Back to Karazhan" that will be rolled out soon, also seems to promise only good things. First; there will be a revisited version of Karazhan, the mythical raid that players of "The Burning Crusade" remember very well. Here, it will be a mythical dungeon where players will face enemies from the tower's past. Add to that a new raid " The Judgment of the Valiants" that sends players into the depths of Helheim, stronghold of the Vrykuls. As well as a new series of quests taking place over several weeks in the region of Suramar, the fallen city of the Night Elves.

Blizzard is also taking the opportunity to launch its brand new "Legion companion" application.

It is an application allowing its owner to manage his fiefdom as well as the missions related to it remotely. He can therefore plan his adventure for when he resumes his game. The application is free and already available on IOS and Android.

The numbers seem to indicate that players see Legion as a quality expansion. Even if it is still too early to tell, and the readiness of Blizzard to deploy updates for its new game, will not leave players time to get bored. Good news that will reassure those who wondered about the future of the MMO and silence critics.
