The band Twin Atlantic has just released their latest album: GLA, we listened to it and we will tell you what we think!

Twin Atlantic are a Scottish band from Glasgow consisting of Sam McTrusty, Barry McKenna, Ross McNae and Craig Kneale. With already three albums to their credit, the quartet has just released their fourth opus: GLA, named after the code of Glasgow airport and inspired by the city they continue to call home.

Twin Atlantic

The listening of GLA begins with Gold Elephant: Cherry Alligator is a very rock and rhythmic title that will not leave you indifferent and that will stop suddenly at the end. The listening continues with their single No Sleep that you already know and that we had already told you about.

Then comes You Are The Devil and Overthinking, sounds always very rock but with pop touches that will recall their last album Great Divide, and we already see ourselves dancing on them in concert! Besides, we remind you, they will be at the Maroquinerie on November 15th

Twin Atlantic

Then the surprise of GLA that we love so much: Ex El, a song that has nothing to do with what Twin Atlantic has done before. The vocal power of Sam McTrusty, guitar riffs, a rhythmic sound, a catchy chorus that we already see ourselves screaming in concert: we are fans.

The opus then continues with Valhalla who starts with a good guitar riff and then everything calms down when Sam McTrustry starts singing, we are soothed and surprised then comes the chorus. We find the Twin Atlantic from Great Divide. Then comes I Am Alive, Whispers very nice sounds, we quickly fall under the spell.

Suddenly comes the ballad of the album with A Scar To Hide : Sam's voice carried by the violin and acoustic guitar, I am sure that live the emotion will be even more palpable than the one already felt when listening. We continue with Missing Link and The Chaser whose clip they have just released recently!

The GLA album ends with Mothertongue : a title as rock as the first song, the circle is closed.

And after this listening, what do we do? Bah we listen again to the album of Twin Atlantic GLA because it is really very good, we see a beautiful evolution of the group both in the instrumental quality and the voice of Sam Mctrusty always impressive.
