Airbourne: a new quality album

ACDC is dead. Indeed, Angus Young is the only survivor among the original members and Axl Rose sadly massacres what remains of the group. Yet Australian hard rock is not dead. Airbourne has been establishing itself for 13 years now as the successors of a group that has left its mark. The comparison between Airbourne and ACDC is not new and many will have noted a number of commonalities. Both bands are Australian and have developed raw and dynamic hard rock. Both were founded by 2 brothers: Joel O'Keeffe (vocals, guitar) and Ryan O'Keeffe (drums).

Airbourne

With a regular cadence of one album every 3 years, Airbourne quickly found its audience. Their fans were delighted this Friday, September 23, 2016 when "Breaking Outta Hell", the band's 5th album, was released. The first eponymous title plunges us from the first notes into a very special atmosphere. And it is a journey through Hell that follows. Hell that has a very positive connotation when talking about a band like Airbourne. The album remains qualitative throughout. We may regret the absence of a particularly striking title, which could have sounded like a new rallying cry for fans of the group. But that would be an unnecessary attempt to belittle a quality album.
