Big announcement today for the future Marvel/Netflix series The Punisher, centered on the character of Frank Castle! The studios have just unveiled by a press release five new actors who will appear alongside Jon Bernthal in the first season scheduled for 2017!
While we announced the presence of Deborah Ann Woll, aka Karen Page in the first season of the future Netflix series The Punisher, here is that Marvel Studios adds five names to the cast!
- Daniel Webber (11.22.63) will play Lewis Walcott, a young veteran struggling to readjust to civilian life.
- Jason R. Moore (The Sorcerer's Apprentice) will be Curtis Hoyle, a friend of Castle's who is one of the few who knows he is alive.
- Paul Schulze (Nurse Jackie) will play Rawlins, a high-ranking CIA agent.
- Jaime Ray Newman (Bates Motel) will play Sarah Lieberman, Micro's wife (Ebon-Moss-Bachrach – Girls), a former CIA analyst who should be of great help to Frank.
- Michael Nathanson (The Wolf of Wall Street) will play Sam Stein, a homeland security agent colleague of Dinah Madani (Amber Rose Revah – Borgia).
The press release of Marvel Studios also informs us that the release date of the first season will be during the year 2017 on Netflix, without further details.
We can't wait to see this new series, which will undoubtedly be a great complement to Daredevil and the Marvel Expanded Universe on Netflix !
