Iggy Pop – Gold

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpI9Cckh1tc

1 year after Post Pop Depression, the iguana does not hang up and signs this title which appears in the soundtrack of the film Gold directed by Matthew McConaughey. With the collaboration of the alchemist Danger Mouse, having already produced many wonders, it was enough to have here a treasure of dark ballad, and where the warm timbre of Iggy Pop is timeless.

Timber Timbre – Sewer Blues

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1h5ePI_cvHk

Timbre again, whether in the voice (a bit higher) than in the name of this Canadian band, creating dark folk-rock pieces, driven by a sense of rhythm and the tension of "film noir". This Sewer Blue, from the new album to be released in April, covers their music with velvet, delicately sprinkles everything with an almost erotic content. Heat…

Noucky's picks

Valerie June – Shakedown

https://youtu.be/cShj4BimPXc

We missed it last week during its showcase at the Zèbre de Belleville and we deeply regret it! Valérie June is this kind of sound that flirts on different registers with a singular and catchy voice as we like them. Already 4 albums to her credit, she evolves between blues, folk, soul … It grooves well and we want to see more. That's why we recommend you follow her and hope to see her on stage again soon!

BANKS – Trainwreck

https://youtu.be/vSNqIerZBFs

BANKS goes to confessions with this new track from his second album The Altar. Indeed, this title would have been written when she was only 14 years old and felt totally out of step with those of her age. Looking at her images, we can't help but think of Lady Gaga having joined the dark side of the force, but the sound is definitely that of BANKS : a now recognizable and dark paw that makes her irresistible!

Bonobo – No Reason feat. Nick Murphy (Chet Faker)

Migration, was released on Friday, January 13 and Bonobo has already put all his chances aside to please with this latest album. With No Reason, Simon Green offers us a 3rd extract of the album smoothly thanks to the timbre of Nick Murphy, the former Chet Faker. We continue a road trip well started in Migration.Bonobo will be in concert on March 8 at the Olympia in Paris, on March 9 at La Laiterie in Strasbourg and on March 10 at the Transbordeur in Villeurbanne.

Leif Vollebekk – Into The ether

We have already told you about it and it will be on March 23rd at the Pop Up of the Label. Leif Vollebek is the type of skin-deep artist who delivers sensitive and soothing music. With this second title, he confirms our affection for him and makes us want to meet him even more. Not you?

CLAVVS – Future Gold

Here is a duo little if not at all known in France that I wanted to talk to you about, because they are doing a crowdfounding to finance their next album. Originally from Atlanta, CLAVVS is composed of Amber Renee and Graham Marsh and offers an airy and punchy pop that borders on triphop and flirts with electro. It's quite addictive so let yourself be tempted and do not hesitate to support them and like them on their Facebook page !

Greg's Picks

Little Mix – Touch

https://youtu.be/gBAfejjUQoA

Serving as the second single from their fourth album Glory Days, Touch serves wonderfully the path of pop genius taken by the group Little Mix. At a time when the genre is losing speed, the British quartet plays the card of the credo big bass and songs in unison. Accompanied by an ultra sexy clip with choreography a little light but effective, the song warms up the winter!

Troye Sivan – Heaven

https://youtu.be/8VNV__mV38s

At a time when the voices of minorities around the world are rising, artists are not left out. Young LGBT defender Troye Sivan dedicates the music video for Heaven to previous generations who have both suffered and advanced the cause of homosexual minorities. In line with his alternative pop dream, Heaven is an auditory delight and a moving visual moment.
