While the second season of American Crime Story is expected on FX for 2018, we learn that actress Annette Bening will play one of the main roles.

While we learned a few weeks ago that the third season of American Crime Story would focus on the Gianni Versace case, the second season, centered on Hurricane Katrina, will be broadcast on the American channel FX in 2018.

We just learned that Oscar-nominated actress Annette Benning joins the cast of this new season as Kathleen Blanco, governor of the state of Louisiana. She was on duty during and after the hurricane.

Annette Benning will reunite with Ryan Murphy, creator of the series, with whom she shot the film Running with Scissors in 2006. The actress is remembered in the films Mars Attack in 1996 and American Beauty in 1999. She has also played in series, such as The Sopranos in 2004 or Two Cops at Miami in 1987.

The second season of the anthology American Crime Story will not launch until 2018, according to John Landgraf, president of FX, during the winter tour of the Television Critics Association. Several reasons for this discrepancy: the scenario and especially the time!

"When you shoot in New Orleans, you have to worry about hurricanes. You cannot shoot during certain times of the year. "

American Crime Story will then deal with the murder of stylist Gianni Versace in its third season and season 4 should probably deal with the Monica Lewinsky/Bill Clinton case.
