If nothing was completely certain until now, it would seem that Samuel L. Jackson confirms his participation in The Incredibles 2 !
Fourteen years after The Incredibles, the family of superheroes from Pixar studios returns in 2018! And among them, we will find the character Frozone, ally and best friend of Mr. Indestructible, able to create ice and freeze things with his hands. In the original film, he was voiced by Samuel L. Jackson and the latter confirmed with Collider that he would indeed be back to do the voice of the character! He told the Collider reporter:
"I've been in the studio for a day now. A day but I don't know if it was a dedicated dubbing [the image already exists and they will put his voice on top, editor's note] or a pre-recording, so they could very well animate without taking into account what I say. I think it's going to be pretty great. Everyone is waiting to see, more than anything else, how Jack-Jack has evolved."
We will therefore find Frozone, but also all the members of the Incredibles family! As a reminder, the actors who lent their voices to the characters in The Incredibles alongside Samuel L. Jackson was Craig T. Nelson (Mr Indestructible), Holly Hunter (Elastigirl), Brad Bird (Edna Mode), Sarah Vowell (Violet), Spencer Fox (Arrow) and Jason Lee (Syndrome).
The question of the return of the film was also asked to Samuel L. Jackson: Was it a surprise that The Incredibles 2 ended up actually happening? To this, the actor replied: "Brad [ Brad Bird, the creator of the film, editor's note] has always said it. Every time I saw him, he would say, 'We're going to do it, we're going to do it!' And he was busy elsewhere doing live-action stuff, I guess expanding the range of possibilities as a director depending on the movies and opportunities. So yes, I always thought it would be possible. The Incredibles 2 has been announced as the latest sequel created by Pixar Studios to foster creation within the world of animation.
The Incredibles 2 is scheduled for July 4, 2018 in French cinemas!
