Criminal Minds wins a thirteenth season!
With declining ratings and especially the departure of Thomas Gibson at the beginning of the season, Criminal Minds was still one of the series of the American channel CBS whose fate was uncertain. The veil is now lifted since the series is officially renewed for a thirteenth season.
While CBS announced a few weeks ago the renewal of several of its series, the fate of Criminal Minds and its spin-off Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders was not yet determined. It is now done for the first while the second is still waiting for a decision from the leaders of the channel, like 2 Broke Girls, Elementary, Code Black, The Great Indoors and The Odd Couple.
Following the departure of Thomas Gibson last September and Shemar Moore last season (the latter will also be back during the season 12 finale), the producers had decided to recall actress Paget Brewster to resume her role of Emily Prentiss full-time. They also called on Adam Rodriguez (The Experts: Miami) to complete the cast.
Good news for fans who will be able to discover next season 13 of Criminal Minds on CBS.
