You read that right, a rumor in Hollywood would spread and announce Sam Esmail to write the spin-off on Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Here is the latest information that Omegaunderground, Lucasfilm and Sam Esmail, the famous showrunner of the TV series Mr Robot, would have met to discuss this famous spin-off freshly announced. We remind you that this is currently a rumor and that it is better not to get carried away too quickly.

The story of the film would have for protagonist the illustrious Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, played by Alec Guinness in the first trilogy and then by Ewan McGregor in the prelogy, and would be placed between episode III (Revenge of the Sith) and episode IV (A New Hope). To top it off, we learned that Sam Esmail's agent was none other than the ex-boyfriend of the late Carrie Fisher and also the father of Billie Lourd who appears in episodes VII (The Force Awakens) and VIII (The Last Jedi).

To tell you about Mr Robot, which we recommend to anyone who has not yet had the chance to discover it, tells the story of Elliot (played by Rami Malek), a hacker who does not have much affinity with the outside world. One day he meets a man named Mr. Robot (played by Christian Slater) who offers to change the world, by hacking one of the largest companies in the world: E-Corp. The series has distinguished itself by its incredible mastery of realization and its extraordinary scenario. It may not be a coincidence that Lucasfilm calls on its creator.

While waiting for a little more precise information, you can discover next December the eighth installment of the wise George Lucas, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
