Glow: Dive into Women's Wrestling

Jenji Kohan is one of the most inspired creators in the series business. She has been the heyday of Netflix for a few years as showrunner of Orange is the new black. His second collaboration will land at the beginning of the summer. This is Glow who will explore an original universe, that of female wrestling.

Kohan + Netflix, a winning formula

Since Weeds, the famous showrunner uses a formula that works. She plunges a strong female character into an environment that is strange to her. In Glow, we will follow an aspiring actress played by the delicious Allison Brie (the opposite of her role in Community), who will integrate the whimsical world of women's wrestling. She finds herself mixed with a gallery of colorful characters. We cannot say that there are many known faces but each role seems to have been well chosen.

Humor is one of the cards played regularly by Kohan. Weeds and OITNB are provided with incredible situations. This should also be the case of Glow whose trailer distills some interesting sequences. The 80s seem well transcribed and we savor the "particular" outfits and hairstyles of this decade. All this, sprinkled with an adequate soundtrack and we should have one of the first successes of the summer season.

The detail that kills is that this program actually existed in the 80s.
