Since Hellboy 3 by Guillermo Del Toro was officially buried, a new project around the red demon has appeared.

Information about the Hellboy remake

Entitled Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, this reboot will be rated R in the United States. Riding the wave of Logan and Deadpool, Hellboy will be focused on violence. Filming should begin next September under the direction of Neil Marshall to whom we owe The Descent. The American David Harbour, seen in the credits of the Netflix series Stranger Things, is the new interpreter of the superhero Hellboy. The 42-year-old actor has just started makeup tests, as you can see below with a mold of the famous "Right Hand of Death".

David Harbour succeeds Ron Perlman who played the red demon twice, in 2004 and 2008. David Harbour spoke about the project on Yahoo.

"I wouldn't do Hellboy if it wasn't for Stranger Things. No, I wouldn't. Many people reacted positively. There are many elements in common to both characters. Hopper, in Stranger Things, is a very complex person, with several levels of reading. He's heroic, but it's also chaos about him, and I think that's what they want for Hellboy as well."
