Pokémon GO celebrates its first anniversary!

Niantic, Inc. and The Pokémon Company are set to launch a series of events for the Pokémon GO mobile game.

The least we can say is that Pokémon Go broke all records when it was released. Throughout its first year, it was downloaded a total of 750 million times (yes, that's a lot!). If you frequented social networks when it was released, you could not really ignore it as the whole world was talking about it. Even if, it must be admitted, the hype quickly (very quickly) calmed down, the game promised to evolve.

The first anniversary will be an opportunity to launch events, both in-game and in the real world. John Hanke, CEO of Niantic, Inc . said, "It's been an incredible first year for Pokémon GO thanks to the passion and dedication of the global Trainer community. For this first anniversary, we'll be giving players around the world a chance to enjoy fun in-game events, connect with friends and other Trainers at real-world events, and more. »

Pokémon Go Fest will take place on July 22 in Chicago. This is the perfect opportunity to meet a multitude of trainers and participate in many activities. We suspect that this is not really the next door for you who read us, but if you are interested, tickets will be sold here from June 19.

If you're closer to Yokohama, Japan (you never know), the Pikachu Outbreak will take place in August.

Solstice Event

If you are far enough away from all this, you may be interested in the in-game event Solstice. Between June 13 at 10 p.m. and June 20 at the same time, you'll have a higher chance of encountering fire and ice type Pokémon like Salamèche, Héricendre, Malosse, Marcacrin, Farfuret, and their Pokémon Go Evolutions. Plus, you'll also get more PX for your in-game actions, and lucky eggs will get a 50% discount.
