When we talk about Japan, we often bring manga and anime together, but we must not forget that this is only a part of Japanese culture, and Japan Expo understood it! It is for this reason that each year, the festival highlights other facets of Japanese culture as well as its traditions as diverse as varied. The Sakura stage is the place of representations of culture and traditions. With more than fifty artists, there will be something for everyone in theatrical, musical and artistic performances. Choreographed sword games, traditional koto music, calligraphy, folk singing or traditional dances, you can find them all on this stage dedicated and specially equipped for the event (with a hanamichi). The Washoku space doesn' t mean anything to you? Yet if you have ever been to Japan Expo, it is sure that you remember this place. Behind this strange name hides the most appetizing place in the show, since it is the space dedicated to culinary specialties. Instead of limiting yourself to ramen and sushi, come and discover more typical and lesser-known dishes. Created since 2015, the Washoku space recruits Japanese and French chefs passionate about Japanese culture, to introduce the public to dishes from the land of the rising sun. The traditional games area will also be part of the game. Here nothing new, it is the space where you can discover or rediscover the typical board games of Asia: shogi, mahjong, game of go, othello and all this supervised by the French federations of the disciplines concerned. Finally, the wellness area will also have its place, to allow visitors to learn relaxation methods. Between reiki and shiatsu, you will be entitled to demonstrations instilled by experts belonging to French federations or practitioners.
