A simple and natural hair routine is possible!

In a more ethical approach, I have become more attentive and demanding (I admit) on the composition of the products I consume. As such, my hair routine is no exception to this rule.

I find that the composition of the products is often incomprehensible, which amplifies my suspicion of them. And when I want to buy ready-made and healthy products, they are often offered at fairly expensive prices.

The challenge is to preserve my health without breaking the bank. The solution is to go back to products that are used and that are unprocessed.

The way forward

Above all, it is necessary to define its hair nature to analyze its needs: do I have a type of dry or oily hair? Curly (so dry)? Curly (so often dry)? Cizzy (so constantly dry)? (De)colored? Do I constantly use direct heat devices, which are responsible for drying out my hair? I can't tell my hair from my straw hat anymore?

Personally, by nature, my hair is dry. As a result, they need to be hydrated and fed very regularly or almost daily.

What do I do on a daily basis?

On a daily basis, I moisturize and nourish my hair with a moisturizing and nourishing spray.

essential oils 1690888 1920 A simple and natural hair routine is possible!

To prepare this vape, I start by disinfecting it with alcohol at 70 ° C. Then I fill it with my preparation.

Here is the recipe of my preparation :

  • Who says hydration says water. So I use 80 mL of spring water.
  • 2 tsp of oil. For my part, I mix castor and coconut oils for their nourishing properties.
  • 1 tsp of vegetable glycerin which is a humectant helping to intensify the moisturizing properties of water (3.20 € at Aroma Zone).
  • 2 to 4 drops of preservative. I use Cosgard which effectively preserves from microbial growth all my preparations containing an aqueous phase. In addition, it is very economical (1.50€ at Aroma Zone).

Then I pour a few drops of coconut oil (Why this oil again? Because I love the smell!) in the palm of my hand then I apply it on my hair with particular emphasis on my ends which are the oldest and therefore the most fragile part of the hair.

Shampoo Day

Once a week and before my shampoo :

I start by making myself a bath of oils. For this purpose, I take everything that is lying around! And that's almost true… If I have coconut or castor oil left, I mix everything and apply it to my scalp and lengths. If I run out of oil, I grab my olive oil. Then I wrap my hair in aluminum foil so that the benefits of the oils penetrate my hair. I leave it on for 1 hour minimum and then I rinse.

Shampoo:

I prepare my shampoo in a shockingly simple way! I get a mini bottle found in travel kits and mix a case of baking soda with hot water. Once the baking soda is almost dissolved, I jump into the shower and wash my hair. Then I leave the "shampoo" on while I soap up, and I rinse.

When I have time (about once every two weeks):

I prepare a mask consisting of an egg (just the yolk), olive oil (4 cases), honey (1 tsp) and a few drops of lemon juice. I apply the mask on my lengths only and I leave it on 30 minutes under aluminum foil. I then rinse with warm, not hot, water to avoid cooking the egg. This mask helps to strengthen the fragile hair thanks to the properties of the egg, to nourish it thanks to the oil and to make it softer thanks to the honey.

Here is a fairly natural and affordable routine that is for everyone and almost any age. From now on, we no longer have excuses to take care of our hair in a healthier way.
