The third edition of the Afropunk Paris Festival will take place from 15 to 16 July 2017 in La Villette. It is therefore a change of venue for this international event formerly based at the Trianon in Paris. Straight from Brooklyn, the Afropunk Paris Festival has been exported to Paris since 2015 and also finds its variations in Atlanta, London, and Johannesburg.
Beyond the festive and musical aspect, it honors values of tolerance, emancipation and creativity through different modes of artistic expression such as fashion, visual and musical arts…
Just like the previous editions, you can also enjoy the Fancy Dress Ball which will take place on July 14 at the Parc de La Villette. All participants are then invited to dress up in their most personal and original outfits in a festive and punk atmosphere.
You will also be able to discover new musical talents through the Battle of the Bands competition whose finalist bands will have the opportunity to play at the opening of the Afropunk Paris festival. This 2017 edition in Paris will honour the EME group, the big winner of this springboard.
