The atypical "electro-rock" band Shaka Ponk makes its comeback on stage with its new album The EVOL', and the tour THE MONKADELIC TOUR, in France and surroundings.
The seven-member group, including Goz, the virtual monkey, has already unveiled five tracks:
- Gung Ho, is already provided with a music video at the height of the psychedelic punk image of the group, full of references from pop culture and cinema.
- Rocksta, is a title on the excesses of celebrity, accompanied by a bewitching melody impossible to get out of the skull (listen here)
- War Dance, is a very trashy song punctuated by galvanizing "wall of death".
- Party, is a rock-electro sound that flirts with heavy metal.
- and Mysterious Ways, is a surprisingly (but pleasantly) wise slow.
The last four tracks do not yet have official clips, but "animated videos" on which we find a robotic version of the mascot Goz.
On the program, a crazy energy, a grain of madness and a good dose of genius. Nothing surprising on this side, for thirteen years already, Shaka Ponk is a real O.V.N.I., creative and above all, indefinable. Coming from multiple influences, Shaka Ponk's albums are real bombs, and The EVOL' seems to be no exception. Quality and hairdressing (punk) at the rendezvous.
Shaka Ponk is on tour from January 20, 2018 to April 14, 2018, in France, Switzerland and Belgium. All the dates concerning The Monkadelic Tour are here!
